Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

question concerning if i can file a lawsuit under these conditions

dear lawguru.com,

i have an interesting situation. me and my girlfriend had been going out for over a year plus. and when she got involved with me, she told me that she was ''raped''. so i kept the relationship with her, to help her out with her issues. however, a couple months later her friend, whom she knew for over five to six years told me that she didn't get raped, and that she had consent intercourse with him. she never told me this. so my question is, can i sue her under any grounds? or take legal action against her?

If you're angry at her, you might seek assistance of a couples counselor. Anyone can sue anyone for just about anything else; but the court is not necessarily the best way to resolve affairs of the heart. Many relationships are filled with deceptions -- whether they're small to spare another's feelings, or larger such as yours. I can't tell you what to do, of course, but you'll probably never be satisfied with the result of a lawsuit that you bring to avenge this type of wrong. I wish you well.
