Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Restraining Order - Attorney Harrassment

I have a CA TRO. My ex hired an attorney. This attorney has started to contact my ex boyfriend, ex husband, and my employer. All conversations were quite incriminating against me. Somehow this just seems wrong that one can be protected from an abuser, yet he can hire someone to harass. The order states he cannot contact anyone either directly or indirectly...Any direction on how to proceed? The attorney's behavior is causing trauma in my life. She is stating things to these people that are misrepresenting the facts that I find myself defending things that they shouldn't even be privy to. PLEASE HELP ME. I can't eat, sleep, and am in fear of what's coming next.

Re: Restraining Order - Attorney Harrassment

Most attorneys did not answer this post because it is a piece of work. It would appear that your position is that you are being harassed because your ex hired an attorney. If you think that someone hiring an attorney, or an attorney conducting an investigation, is harassment, then you should never have been handed a TRO.

The purpose of a TRO is to prevent domestic violence. Many men and women do not get them, and cannot get court time to get one because so many like you are in line abusing the use of them. A TRO is not for breaking up with someone, or getting even, or getting leverage in family law matters.

I am willing to bet that you have obtained multiple TRO's in the past, including with the people your ex's attorney contacted. I would have contacted them too. It is good lawyering.

Very truly yours,
