Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I have been served papers for eviction from paper work filed by a lawyer for my landlord. I have talked to the lawyer and the rental company is asking for last month, next month and legal fees to reinstate the rental agreement. Is there any way I can get them to alter this legally? I am at a loss and grasping at straws right now.

That would depend on why they are evicting you and whether they would win in court. If they have a winning case, and you would have no defenses to beat the case in court, you have no leverage to get them to do anything. What they are demanding is pretty standard and reasonable for a situation where the tenant is clearly in default.
