Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Small Claims count weekends in 30 days?

Went to court 6/27 and need to pay court costs in addition to sued amount by 7/27. Does the Small Claims Court count weekend days? Or do I still get in under the wire tomorrow morning at 8:30 7/28?

Nothing at all happens to you if you don't pay. You just have to eventually pay the judgment with interest when the judgment creditor garnishes your wages or taps your bank account. You can avoid these kinds of unpleasant events by depositing the amount of the judgment, along with court costs and interest, with the clerk of the court, something you can do any time without penalty any day the clerk's office is open.
