Re: Small Claims?

When you go to the small claims court, you are given all of the forms. Be sure to have documentation if any with you.

Re: Small Claims?

Go to the local courthouse and ask for directions to the Small Claims Clerk's office. Tell the clerk you want to file a small claims action and he or she will give you the needed forms.

In bringing a small claims action you give up the right to appeal the outcome. Keep this in mind when considering Small Claims vs. a Limited Jurisdiction Action in the Unified Courts (formerly a Municipal Court action.)

If you decide that you want to consider pursuing your claim with attorney assistance, feel free to call us for an initial phone consultation.

Good Luck whatever your decision.
