Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Can i sue my mom for my money back if she breaks our deal?

When I was 16, my dad died and left me $25,000. My told me that I need to go to court with her and tell them that I think she's entitled to half of that money, so i did, and they gave her half of it. Then, when I was 18, I was living with her, and I found out I was pregnant, and I was scared, and had nowhere else to go.Well, I got the other half of that money, and she told me that she needed it, and i need to give it to her... she said it's for all the kids, and she's going to use it to help buy the house we lived in. I told her if she buys me a car, she can have the rest. Well, she bought me a car for $4,000 and I gave her the rest. We moved out of that house, (which she never bought) and now that we're in a new house, which we've been in since Apr. 10, and that we rented together, she's telling me to get the hell out of her house, and she slit the tires in my car, and then took it and hid it somewhere so I can't find it... By giving her that money, I thought she was going to buy the house, so I wouldn't have to worry about a place for my daughter and me to live, but now we don't have a place to live, and I don't have the car she promised me, so I want my money back. Can you help my do that?

I would be very difficult to prove a case against your mother. But assuming you were successful what would you gain. She has apparently spent the entire $25,000 and has nothing. You would never be able to collect the amount of the judgment, unless she has an inheritance or other source of money that she cannot get to and spend.
