Re: suing multiple persons

You really should seek the assistance of a lawyer, if you have a matter large enough to require a large number of people to be named as defendants. If you do not know the answer to this question, you are already in trouble and will be soon facing a large number of lawyers as opponents, if your dispute involves any substantial amount of money, or if the defendants are insured.

As Mr. Stone advised you, whether you can sue all the people you have in mind in the same lawsuit will depend on whether their alleged conduct is all related to the same transaction or occurrence. Another limiting factor is whether you can establish personal jurisdiction over all these people. That is, do they all live in California or do they regularly do business in California, or did they all do some act in California that led to your complaint? If not, you will have to sue those people in the State where they live or regularly do business.

Re: suing multiple persons

Have your lawyer sue everybody you have reason to sue in one lawsuit (assuming your lawsuit is based on the same transaction or occurrence), and let the court system sort it out.
