Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

yearbook withheld

Can my daughter's school withhold her yearbook that I OVER-paid for because she had minimal damage on a textbook for which they are asking $10.00. I didn't sign anything when I purchased the yearbook.

Re: yearbook withheld

They did withhold the year book. Your cheapest way out of this situation is to pay the $10 for the book. The filing fee in small claims is $75 plus the cost of serving the defendant. Filing in Superior court is over $300.
