Legal Question in Health Care Law in California

Formal complaint against HMO

My husband and I have filed a grievance against his primary care physican. I recieved a letter stating that we could have an attorney represent us. The doctor made false accusations about my husband and denied medical care. All we are asking for is an apology from the doctor. Should we consult an attorney?

Re: Formal complaint against HMO

I have no idea. If you want to send me an email and let me know who the doctor is, who the HMO is, the nature of the issues, etc...but I cant tell from what you wrote.

Best,
