Legal Question in Health Care Law in California

RN license revoked without my knowledge of an issue/problem

I found out my RN license was revoked by the BRN after renewing my license online end of December 2006-paying fees-printed receipt-did not get license in mail-called BRN a few days ago- informed revocation in August 2006. I did not know there was an action or complaint-then now this-I had to leave my RN Clinical Sup. position-(13 yrs RN) because I have no license. I was told I can apply for reinstatement in 3 YEARS. I asked why it was revoked-BRN would not tell me-I asked why was the license renewal fee accepted and $$ removed from my card a few weeks ago? BRN said they didn't know-I can expect my refund in 6-8 weeks. I am waiting for BRN to mail this ''paperwork'' to me-I still don't even know why-and I have no income. How can I get my license back? What do I do to have this looked at? Who do I go to? BRN said there was no recourse-I know that's not true. I am grateful for any guidance, thank you. Do I have to file in Superior Ct? Can I do everything myself? Please tell me if I need to hire counsel if it is too complex-I can't take the chance of being ineffective. I need to know how to proceed. I have researched for hrs and I can't find info specific to this situation.

You need to go infront of the board for an administrative hearing. That is your right.
