US Citizen marrying turist

Hi

My aucle fell in love with a woman. She came over here to visit and meet the family and now my auncle wants to marry her right away, she agreed to marry him but wants to know her status will be okay. What should she do to ensure that she does not get deported but can get her status settled?

You should consult with an immigration attorney in your local area. This lady definitely qualifes for permanent residence through your uncle if she came in with a tourist visa as you stated and your uncle is a US citizen. We can help the two of them with everything.

Your uncle, after getting married, may file a petition with INS using forms collectively referred to as marriage package, provided she entered legally, is in alegal status and your uncle is a US citizen.

if she entered the country legally and he is a U.S. Citizen, they should be able to petition her for permanent Residence.
