Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I entered the US legally for my masters degree(F-1 student visa). My visa go expired two years ago but I maintained my status through my I-20 always.

After my financial sponsor(my father) passed away last year I could not afford to pay for my school tuition any more.

I stopped going to school to help my brother in his business so he can sponsor me later. In the meantime I got out of status. I have been out of status now for 7 months. My question is, can I still fly on airplanes to other states? or is it true that there will be a good chance for me to be deported?! I still have my state driver license and my state ID both valid.

Thank you

Unfortunately you have let yourself to become out of status. You are subject to removal not only when you fly on an airplane from state to state, but also anywhere and anytime. For example, you can be sitting at home or driving to a friend's house and can be picked up and placed in removal.
