Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

my husband was deported 5months ago hes lived in the usa all his life we been married for 21 years 2 daughters he was deported 16 yrs ago then retured he has a felony what can i do to get him back we had a good life here he had a great job his class a lic went recently to mexico for a funeral and they detained him at the border he didnt know they would do that
