Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Becoming a legal resident

I am a US Citizen and I want to marrie my non US Citizen girlfriend. The problem is that I have a felony on my record for evading police back when I was 18 in 2006 for street racing. Will this affect the process of her becoming a legal resident?

Re: Becoming a legal resident

The only issues that could affect her permanent residence by your criminal record is if you apply for a fiancee status and there is domestic or similar violent crime on your record. It doesn't appear that you have this, so you're probably fine.

No, your past criminal past should not affect her application.
