Re: Licences

Dear Inquirer:

The Police may inpound your vehicle if your car was involved in a significant traffic violation or the commission of a crime. In California, you may be legal to drive for up the ten days with a foreign license.

I recommend that you email [email protected] or visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com for more information.

Re: Licences

How very frustrating this must be for you.

Generally, personal property can be impounded when the item was allegedly used in the commission of a crime or is considered evidence. If your license, registration and insurance are valid, and there are no outstanding warrants on you or outstanding tickets on the car, what reason did the police give? Where? What were the circumstances? City police or county sheriff or highway patrol? Are you a US citizen or resident alien (what is your "status"?)? Were you told how you can get your car back? Actually, it's risky to publish too many of these facts on the Internet -- find a good attorney in your area.
