Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

My mom married a man from Mexico for about 5-4 years now. He left my mom before he can finalize his papers and when he left he got his card green and wants to divorce my mom. What happens now? If the judge finds out he marriage her for a green card? Will he be deported?

If he already has his greencard, then nothing happens, other than your mom gets divorced.

Also, if they have been married for 4-5 years, it is unlikely that fraud would be found at this juncture.

I don't see how a "judge would find out". Even if you intend to "report" this man, ICE has better things to do with their time.

I would just let it go.
