Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Ready to file I-140 and I-1485, but wedding in 3 months

Hi, I am in US on L1. My Labor for GC is approved (PERM Employment based - EB2). Since the Priority dates are current, my company wants to file I-140 and I-485 concurrently. I am planning to get marrried in India in 3 months. My fiance in India dosent have a visa right now and I was thinking of bringing her in L2. What should I do now? Should I wait to file I-485 so that I can bring her here on L2 or is there a way to bring her after my I-485 is filed. Friends suggest that I should do my I-140 alone now, then get married and later file for I-485. Please advice.

It's best to file the I-140 alone, then get married, and then file the I-485 package. That way, your fiance (then wife) will be able to also obtain permanent residence ("green card") at the same time as you do.
