Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Need help!

My son is worried because he applied for imigration papers for his wife, she has a passport since youth,now they are living in san diego ca, area, she lost her pasport in 2005, she applied for it again, and got it, my question is, will she have problems now applying for her visa because she was married when she lost it,and didnt say she was married to a u.s citizen?
