Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

Appeal of Judgment

I took a Contractor and his bond company to small claims court. The judge ruled that the contractor owed me money but the bond company did not. All indications are that the judge screwed up. The dirty deeds tht the contractor did are typically covered by a bond. What recourse, if any, do I have in a higher court to challenge the judges ruling in favor of the bond company.

Re: Appeal of Judgment

None. There was no court reporter there, and you did not request a statement of decision, so a reviewing court has no idea what happened, or what motivated the judge to rule against you.
