Car Accident Question

Im dealing with with the other driver's insurance people, I had a week time off from work because of the accident, can I have the insurance people pay for those days even though I got paid as sick pay from my employer?

The short answer is Yes, you can still claim loss of income for the days missed from work even though you were paid through sick leave. The party at fault (called the tortfeasor) cannot get credit for the fact that your wages were covered by sick leave pay or vacation pay. This is known as the "collateral source rule". The rule also applies to medical expenses paid by your own insurance.
