Copyright question

Can I use the cover of a magazine in my Powerpoint presentation without getting permission from the magazine? The reason I am using the cover is to talk about the results of a study done in one of the articles of that magazine.

Generally, the "fair-use" doctrine allows educators to incorporate portions of lawfully acquired copyrighted works when producing their own educational multimedia programs for their own teaching tools in support of instructional activities. However, these cases are very fact dependent.
