Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

I am going to create a website with links to news videos, similar to Google News and YouTube and other sites. How can I do this legally?

Usually, adding a link to someone else's publicly-reachable Web site is inoffensive; most sites welcome the extra traffic a link may bring. Occasionally, a site owner may object to your offering a link, and if they do, it's a good idea to remove the link. Providing links is not the same as importing someone else's material onto your own site -- which often will involve copyright infringement, cyberpiracy and/or invasion of privacy.
