Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

I was curious if there would be a legal complication if I used a character logo in a film I'm making? The characters in my movie would realistically wear shirts that represent the characters in comics they read about, so I want to know the law regarding those logos on video.

Hello,

If you're going to use a character logo in a film you're creating, you'll have to contact the person who owns the copyright in the character and the person who owns the rights in the logo to obtain permission to use.

You can typically find this information in the comic books where the character and logo appears. Check the credits.

Good luck. tma
