Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

I am making an iPhone game and have a level based on the DMV. Is there any legality issues with using what looks to be the DMV lettering on a signage piece in the game? This game will be for sale, unsure if that changes legality.

you have to look at copyright laws for th the state of CA and the US. Be very careful - you can find this wth google searches but the best thisg to do it to ask for an opinion from the CA Attorney Generals office in writing so you have " permission" and evidence that your use is not inviolation of any ruled reg etc...

My off the this cuff answer not to be used as a legal opinion is that the material ispublic domain - BUT do nto rely on this - ask for a written opinion to protect yourself

GO FOR IT!
