Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

We have an opensource solution under the GNU AGPL 3.0 license; it is my understanding that as creators we are the only ones allowed to use this solution for a software we would like to sell.

But is it possible to sell the license to a single entity (e.g a company) so they can too integrate the solution within a software?

There is very little to nothing anyone can offer here that will be helpful. You need to have your specific situation reviewed so a best course of action can be reached. The GPL you are referring to needs to be reviewed if you are unclear on its terms.

I suggest that if you intend on selling anything you discuss it over with a lawyer in private before moving forward. If you would like to discuss further over a free phone consult, feel free to contact me anytime that is convenient.

Our firm is now referred by the American Bar Association (see under the New York section):

I warn you to not take this matter lightly. This is not a question one should seek an answer to on any website, other than to be pointed into the right direction.

You need a lawyer that specializes in this that is preferably close to you where you can meet in person. Most lawyers offer a free consultation.
