Legal Question in International Law in California

Is it possible for an ex-girlfriend I was involved with years ago to suddenly sue me for pyschological abuse?

I met my ex online from the UK in 2005 we talked for about a year communicating on the phone. We finally met in 2006 for 2 wks too which she wanted to get engaged. I said yes at first but something did not feel right. When I got back to the US, I told her I changed my mind. She then hacked into my myspace page and said I was flirting when we were together. I told her please do not contact me again. She then attempted to take pictures of me and build fake profiles on different sites to try to slander me. After finding these profiles and getting them removed, I contacted her by email and asked her why she did this.

She said, I owe her a second chance and ignoring her was wrong therefore causing her emotional abuse. She went on to say we were engaged when I was flirting on myspace and confining her to emails was a form of pyschological abuse and is illegal in the UK.

She is now trying to say that I will lose everything if she takes me to court and I will go to jail, unless I makeup for my wrongs of ignoring her and give her a second chance.

I've told her numerous times to just live me alone harassing me with these emails. I tried not to contact her but she seems to not understand that I have gone on with my life and I seriously think something was mentally wrong with her before I met her.

Any guidance on this situation?

Change your e-mail address, and do not respond to her. I seriously doubt that any lawsuit by her would be successful.
