Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in California

child-support?suspened drivers liesence

my son was made a ward of the court at the age of 9, and placed in long term foster care. In March he turned 18. and i have no way of getting on touch with him. my liecense was suspened because i had no means of paying child-support. Is there any way that i can get my liecense back now that he is 18 years of age? and how do i find out the last placement he was in prior to him turning 18 to see where he might be at now.

You very probably can get your license back. You will need to file a motion with the court for a payment plan toward the arrears you now owe. Juveniile court records are confidential. That is why you are having a difficult time obtaining those records. One option is to file a motion for release of the records showing the last placement for your son. Another option would be to hire a private investigator. A third option would be to search on the internet.
