CPS has taken my granddaughter out of her home and placed her in foster care. Don't I have rights as a grandparent to get placement of child with me?

Grandparents have rights after immediate parents in most cases. The test is always best interest of child. It is considered best interest if child can be placed with a relative caregiver. CPs needs to know about the grandparents do they can be evaluated in terms of the safety of grandparent home, etc. If parents can not care for children grandparents can be considered the next preference, but there are no guaranties!
