Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Can a caretaker sue us for injuries in the house?

we are in the process of hiring someone to come and take care of my parents in the house by providing care such as shower them and feed them food and be a companion. Half of the money paid to her will be through medicare and the rest of it will be paid by cash. If she gets injured while she is working, can she sue us? What can we do to protect us from a lawsuit?

Have good insurance, talk to your agent about Workers Comp and other coverage.
