Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My employer at a hotel restaurant in California declared my yearly wages incorrectly high by $8,000 in 2016. Using a formula to calculate 8 percent of net sales. Each pay period gave me about $400 in cash sales I didn't receive and was taxed at a higher rate. Now they have given me a correction form, apologizing for the mistake. What kind of money can I expect to get back and how do I ensure that I get the most back and whats fair? Thank you.

That would require an answer from an accountant. You should file your amended tax returns as soon as you can to have use of those extra funds from the government.
