previous employer refuses to pay excessive withholdings to me from a child suppo

my previous employer took out too much money on a child support withholding order and refuses to pay it to me or the district atty. i have asked them to reimburse me the money several times and they basically just blow me off, although the amount of money is not great, to me it is the fact that i know they shouldn't do this, the money is to be paid to the court or me.. period! and they feel they are above this, just once i would like the little guy to win any help on how to go about collecting this money would be greatly appreciated...thank you

Unlawful wage deductions are covered by the California Labor Code. You can either file a claim against the employer with the State Labor Commissioner or in small claims court.
