Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My Protection under the Privacy Act of 1974

Can my employer post my personal information (e.g. social security, home address, telephone number, email address, work history, education, signature, current wage, my contract with my employer, etc.) on it's company web page without my consent? If not what recourse do I have?

No. Personnel information with your employer is confidential and protected by your constitutional right to privacy. Insist that your personal information be removed. If they refuse, you may seek judicial relief and have a judge order the company to remove your information from the public domain. If you have suffered any damages from publicly disclosing personal information, i.e., identify theft, you may be able to hold the company responsible for that too.
