Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Statutes of limitation for Partnership Breach of Contract

What is the statute of limitations for administrative partners breaching a contract with me to deliver care to patients? One attorney told me the statute of limitations was one year but I thought breach of contract had a 4 year statute. Is there a different statute for Labor and Employment cases from the ''regular'' breach of contract statute?
