I work in California my job is requesting proof of bereavement from 2022 from Feb to the last being in November are they allow to ask after so long

Your question doesn't make sense as asked. The proof of bereavement would be proof of a single event, a death in the family. It wouldn't cover a period of time. You get a certain number of consecutive days, 5 by law, sometimes more by company policy, for bereavement leave. You must provide proof of the death and relationship. That's a single event, not a period of time.
