Legal Question in Employment Law in California

i am working 40 hrs or more per week in a company. And, tomorrow is thxgiving and i have to work for 5hrs.. will i get one half or double paid?

A lawyer would call this a wage and hour issue, and wage and hour issues can be complicated. Even so, normally, if you're not EXEMPT, that is, you work for wages, not salary, you're entitled to overtime for anything over 8 hours a day or 40 hours per week. There is no particular rule that requires additional premium pay for working a holiday. Your employer may have some policy regarding holiday hours and, if it does and that policy says, for instance, double time for holidays, then you'd be entitled to double time under the policy.
