Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

To break Rental Contract

I just recently signed the 1 year Rental agreement and gave $300 Deposit without my wifes consent. But now my wife does not want to move in, said she does not like the apartment, as she even had not seen that apartment when I signed the contract. And I informed the Owner within 24 hours. But both of our names are on the contract without my wifes signature. Now how can I get out of the contract without paying any extra money or is there any grace period to get out of the contract.

Re: To break Rental Contract

You do not add much to your prior posting. There is no grace period. Depending on what was said, which you still don't tell us, about needing your wife's signature, there might be a contract to rent just for you. You can not expect good answers with poor [in relevant facts] questions.
