no contract

my land lord is putting use out because we refuse to pay the sewer bill.Our rent is,$1350.00.We also pay,PG&E,water.alone with,telephone and maintanec on our car.and ect,ect.The sewer bill come out to be,$900 to $1200.The land lord said,I not going to pay the sewer bill.If wont pay,I will find someone else to move in,And let them pay it.And now the land lord is putting us out of her house.When we first move in,The lan lord said,I will write up an contract. months had gone by. still no! contract.I have ask the land lord for the contract she said i will get it to you. We have been living their for one year.and when i talk to the land lord again,She said soon.now we recive a sewer bill along with the water bill all together.I call the land lord and said,the sewer payment you sould pay for this. You are the owner of the house. All home owners pay the sewer.Than i said,Yuor sister pay for her sewer and she is renting her house.Why not you. The land lord said, I wont pay,You pay for the sewer our i will put you and your family out and rent the house to someone else and they will pay the sewer bills. So now we have no to get out and find some were to go. Iam asking f

Re: no contract

The landlord cannot "put you out of your house". He would be required to go through the eviction process, which he may or may not lose. There is no set rule on who is to pay for what, but he might have a hard time enforcing collection of past sewer bills. He can insist on a contract for future bills, or give you a 30 or 60 day notice to end the tenancy.
