Co-tenant security deposit

Hey thanks for contributing to this

forum!

Landlord says he doesn't have to

return my portion of our $3000

deposit until all co-tenants leave.

One of the co-tenants says he'll re-

rent and give me the new tenant's

deposit, but that means waiting 'til

Sept. (a month and a half). Thanks

Wow! Two "thanks" in one post. I thought everybody who was raised properly, and was polite, was out at other websites.

Landlord isn't necessarily wrong, but I need more facts to help you. How many tenants? What is rent? Who signed lease? When was lease signed? When does/did it expire?
