Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I have a disabled residnet the is being bothered by a neighbor that always borrows money and never returns it. How do i handle the situation being the landlord.

It would be wise to not involve yourself as far as the lending of money between two tenants. This type of issue is between the tenants and the tenants only. It is not your responsibility to mediate this type of an issue between tenants. It sounds like the disabled tenant should not give the other tenant any more money.

You stated that the disbaled tenant is being "bothered". If by bothered you think that he is being threatened or indimidated into "loaning" the money then there may be some sort of crime/abuse occuring. If that is the situation the "borrowing" tenant may be in breach of his rental agreement and you may need to act. This would be a very fact specific issue. You should discuss it with an attorney.
