Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

How can I find out if the property owner of the land that my mobile home was parked has any type of homeowners insurance.Our mobile home was burned to the ground due to arson.are the landowners in any way responsible for our loss?The home was being rented out illegally.

To have liability, there must be a duty owed by the defendant to the plaintiff. While preventing crime is required to some extent, the landlord does not have to make the area a crime free zone. That is especially true where it is a mobile park so open to cars coming and going at all times. Unless there had been prior such criminal acts and the landlord had not informed anyone, I do not see how the fire was his fault. The question of whether he has insurance coverage thus become irrelevant.
