Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My fourty year old daughter lives in a trailer in my back yard. i am tring to kick her out because I found out she is doing drugs and I dont want her around the kids i have living here. She does receive mail here and does give us a couple hundred dollars a month for the pge she uses and the food she eats. We have no contract with her and she says she has rights and is going to sue us if we try and kick her out. Can you let us know our rights.

If your daughter is not an owner of the house, she is a tenant. Simply serve her with the proper notice to vacate. If she does not leave, file an unlawful detainer action.

Check with an attorney about whether you need a 3, 30, or 60 day notice to vacate.
