i had an on again off again g/f for several years (albeit for no stretch longer than 3 yrs straight) and i want her out of my house. is there anything legal paperwork wise that i have to take care of in order to make it to where she can no longer come around when she feels like it?

Re: kicked girlfriend out

Your question is unclear. If she does not live there, then you merely must tell her not to come in [is she has a key, change the locks]and to stay away. If she keeps on coming back, you may need to contain a restraining order to prevent her from coming within a certain distance of your home. If she lives in the house,it is more difficult. Also, did you ever promise that you would take care of her as though you were married, as if you did she might have a palimony claim for economic assistance. Have you had a frank, but gentle talk with her as to why you do not want to see her anymore? One in which you take at least some of the blame for the breakup? You have had a long term relationship and she may not see any reason for it to end now. You owe her the kindness to make the break as kindly as possible.

I cannot add, or subtract, from Mr. Shers' answer...you are obviously bright (most clients would never use "albeit")...follow Mr. Shers' advice!!!
