Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

landlord broke my lease

I have a one year lease and my landlord started pushing me to buy the condo 3 months after my moving in. I told him that I was not interested and he then put the condo up for sale. The condo sold in 3 days and now I have 30 days to leave the premises. Do I have the right to demand relocation fees as I am current on the rent and I have 5 months left in my lease?

Re: landlord broke my lease

If you are not on a month to month lease, then you should be able to stay in your apartment for the remainder of the lease despite the sale. Does the lease contain language to the contrary?
