Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

The landlord wants to come in and inspect/spray for bugs. Last time they sprayed an insecticide, I was sick...for up 2 months. I couldn't smell or taste...but it improved alittle when I left the apt. They now want to come in again and do the same thing...what rights do I have to not let them spray any poisons in my apts. I did notify the landlord when I started to feel sick, but it landed on deaf ears...

Tell him they can come in to inspect but not spray; tell hilm what happened the last time. Send a copy of what you said to the owner of the property. If they have to spray you want to be tested as to what you are allergic to and if they insist on using something you might react to then they should pay for your staying elsewhere as they are breachng the convenant of quite enjoyment. Also, they may be responsible for constructive eviction.
