Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
landlord may be retaliating
landlord would not make repairs to house we rent, she always replied ''no money'' we gave her plenty of time after we notified her on 3 seperat occasions. Finally we had to have the city inspector come out and he wrote her up for several violations.now, several weeks later we get a 60 day notice to vacate. we pay our rent on time and we also have made improvements(major)to this house with our own money. i believe retaliation may be the motive here. can you advise my next move and any other info. thank you so much
