Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My landlord returned my deposit 13 days after the initial date they were legally suppose to return it. Which in California is within the 21 days of the move out date. My question is am I legally entitled to receive the deposit in full with interest?

In theory, I suppose you could demand interest on the money. The rate would be 10% per year, but why bother? Let's suppose your deposit was $750. The daily interest rate would be about $0.21 and the interest for 13 days would be about $2.73. That won't even buy a decent cup of coffee at Starbucks, so I would let go.

If you got didn't get the full deposit back because of deductions for damage or unpaid rent, the failure to timely give the deposit does not help you.
