Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I am a landlord and had a tenant May 2022 to August 2022 that did not pay rent and made damages. I applied for an eviction and a 585 but there were errors on the 585 and the case was dismissed. How do I re-enact the case?

If the tenant is no longer in possession, you no longer have an unlawful detainer case. Depending on the amount of rent and damages owed, you need to file either in small claims court or a regular superior court breach of contract and damages case.
