Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I've been leaving in a house for a year and half with no rental or lease agreement. the home belongs to my dads aunt who recently passed away. As of today we were giving 30 days to leave. Is that legal? and i was under the impression it can't be no less than 2 months for a notice. AM I wrong. the person who is asking became executer of his sisters will whom he hasn't spoken to in 30 years.

any suggestions?
