Security deposit

I sent a letter of demand and the landlord got upset and took 1500 of my 1600. What do i do next

Was an itemozed invoice provided to you by the landlord? If not, then file a claim in small claims court for the return of your security deposit. Be sure to mention the retalitory nature of your landlord's actions. If so, then what was itemized?
