Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I am currently subletting my apartment from the previous tenant. From what I can tell, my name is not on the lease but I did sign an agreement with her that was pulled off the internet. Recently I hit a financial setback and was not able to pay rent on the 1st. We discussed it over the weekend and she told me I can have until the 15th which I can do. I received an email from her today saying that I have until tomorrow morning otherwise her and an officer will come over to evict me. What are my legal rights in this situation? Is there something the property management company can do to speed up the eviction process? Will an officer really show up on my door tomorrow demanding I leave?

As a sub-tenant, your legal rights as to the master tenant are the same as if they were the landlord and you the master tenant. They cannot evict you without giving a 3-day notice to pay or quit, followed by obtaining a judgment for possession in an unlawful detainer case.
